The primary objective of JSSK is to provide completely free and cashless services to pregnant women and sick infants in public health institutions. It aims to eliminate out-of-pocket expenses so that no one is denied healthcare due to financial constraints.

Free Entitlements: A) For Pregnant Women: 1.Free Delivery: Includes both normal and Caesarean section surgeries. 2.Free Drugs & Consumables: All medicines and surgical items required for treatment. 3.Free Diagnostics: All necessary laboratory tests and ultrasounds (USG). 4.Free Diet: Nutritious meals during the hospital stay (up to 3 days for normal and 7 days for C- section). 5.Free Blood: Provision of blood and its components without any cost. 6.Free Transport: Pick-up from home to facility, inter-facility transfer (referral), and drop-back from facility to home (102/108 services). For Sick Infants (Up to 1 year): 1.Free outpatient and inpatient treatment. 2.Free essential medicines and diagnostics. 3.Free blood transfusion if required. 4.Free transport from home to hospital and back.
